Sabja seeds, also known as basil seeds or tukmaria, are tiny black seeds derived from sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum). They look similar to chia seeds but have a unique set of benefits and culinary uses, especially in traditional Asian and Ayurvedic cuisines. When soaked in water, they swell up and develop a gelatinous coating, giving them a slightly chewy texture.
